Medieval, founded in 2023, is a brand of the Institute of Medieval Studies (IEM), a research unit based at NOVA FCSH. We are a multidisciplinary team made up of historians, archaeologists, art historians, architects and heritage managers specializing in the Middle Ages. We provide services in the areas of heritage communication, museology and archaeology. We have studied a thousand years of history. We know this era like no-one else.
